In Ephesians chapter 6, we read that we are to nurture our children. We're to bring them up in the fear and the admonition of the Lord. Everything has a God-ward focus. Everything has a touch point and that touch point is God's Word, the glory of God. That's to be the basis of everything that we do with our children.

Our families may look different. We may go about things in different ways. We may engage in different things, but this one thing should be consistent in all of our families. It should be God we're focused. We should be bringing them up in this fear and in this admonition of the Lord, which means that Whatever we're doing, the Word of God is going to be our foundation.

It's going to be our source, no matter how it looks differently and how that works out in our individual families. You

Mike Davenport explains in this video that in Ephesians 6, we read that we are to nurture our children and bring them up in the fear and admonition of the Lord. We each should have a Godward focus. Our families each might look different, but the one constant should be that our families should be God-focused in everything that we do.

Matthew 6:33 (NKJV) - "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you."
