You need to be reading, feeding your soul, doing your own private devotion son, reading the scriptures, but also reading other good books if you really want to understand a robust view of evangelical reformed faith. And to me that was overwhelmingly powerful And to my siblings. I think we're all readers till this day. Because my dad, who only had an eighth grade education, inculcated that into us.

That reading what he called good books, books that could really edify your soul, was a primary means of grace, a primary spiritual discipline in his in his mind. And I've seen that lived out in families in my church where they really inculcate good reading materials, those children usually grow up and they usually stay with the church and often are the backbone of the church in terms of people that are really firm about abiding with the truth.
