There is such a lack of reading the Word of God. I don't know how many times people are not spending time with God in His Word and in prayer. They're not speaking to God, they're not hearing from God. And when you take away those two things, you are not moving forward. You are not even stagnant.

You're backing up. And so what I'm seeing is when those two exercises are neglected, there is no, there is this small view of God, a large view of ourselves, and this little fear, this little fear, And so we tend to not take the Word of God seriously, the promises beautiful as well as the warnings. And so there's this lack now, this neglect, and there's no growth Apart from the Word of God and spending time with God. It's impossible. So that's what I see from Professing Christians no time.

They're too busy Too busy for God not enough time busy busy doing things that kind of just take up the time When God is kind of pushed to the side and we try to work things around Not around God but work work God around other things and God never seems to make it into the picture and that's what that lack or small view or little fear comes from when not spending time with God you

Are you too busy for God? Clarence Simmons explains in this video that tragically, Christians commonly neglect to read the Word of God and spend time in prayer. Failing to consistently read Scripture and spend time in prayer causes us to grow farther away from God and take steps backward in our walk of sanctification. Such individuals often have a very small view of God, lack a strong fear of God, and tend not to take the Word of God seriously. There is no growth of a saved individual apart from the Word of God and spending time with Him – in fact, it is impossible. Spending time in prayer and reading God's Word is absolutely critical to knowing God. Do you prioritize Scripture reading and prayer each day? Matthew 26:41 (NKJV) – “Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
