Well, 1 Corinthians 10 31 says that whatever we do, whether we eat or drink, we must do all to the glory of God. So that means that we must dress to the glory of God. We may not all agree on exactly what that entails, but we must all agree that we cannot simply dress without thinking about the glory of God. Certainly as God has created us and He has called us to reflect His image in the world and we see what happened whenever that image was marred in the Garden of Eden when Adam and Eve sinned against God, God made them clothing to cover up their nakedness. And so we should start right there that modesty should be a key principle for any Christian who wants to dress to the glory of God.

I like what John Wesley said in giving counsel to pastors. He said, pastors should never be the first one into a fashion nor the last one out of a fashion. And by that, I think what he was getting at is that we ought to dress not to call attention to ourselves either by being too fancy or being too backwards but rather we should dress in a way that at all times at any time we could commend the gospel of Jesus Christ and not have what we are wearing be a distraction to that. So something as simple and maybe mindless as what we wear should be done with a view to glorifying God. You

How can Christians dress to the glory of God?

In this video, Tom Ascol discusses the importance of dressing to the glory of God. He references 1 Corinthians 10:31 which states that everything we do should be done to glorify God.

Ascol believes that while there may be disagreements on what dressing to the glory of God entails, Christians must make an effort to dress in a way that reflects God's image in the world. Modesty is a key principle for Christians who want to dress to the glory of God. What we wear should not be a distraction to our preaching of the Gospel of Christ.

1 Corinthians 10:31 (NKJV) - "Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God."
