The first thing I would say is that if you have a desire to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ, I think that's a great thing. That's really the heart versus just simply Feeling guilty. I'm not doing it But you you so much believe in the message of Christ you see the transformative power that it has in your own life You just want to give him glory I think one of the most helpful things is what Jesus says in John chapter 4 when he talks to his disciples He says don't say there's four months and then comes the harvest, but he says lift up your eyes in other words look around you There's so many opportunities. You don't have to necessarily go internationally. Now there's a great need for missions and places where the son of righteousness has never risen with healing in his wings.

So there's a great need for that. But all around you, your neighbors, increasingly, especially even here in America, people haven't really heard the gospel. I was just speaking to two young men just this past week, both of them. They had heard about Jesus, but they had never heard the gospel. They had never heard what it means to become a Christian.

They have never heard about their actual plight and where they stand with God. They're guilty before God. They need a Savior. This was entirely new to them. And so all around us we have huge opportunities.

And so if you're a father and you've got young kids, you're a mother, you've got young kids, you can obviously preach the gospel in your own home, but I wouldn't stop there. You have to look at where you're at. Okay, we've got little kids, but could we invite someone to our home? A neighbor, maybe a lonely person. As you're going out shopping at the cash register, could you give a tract?

Could you just see someone and try to engage them with the gospel at work? In other words, lift up your eyes. There's so many opportunities outside of going somewhere internationally and somehow outsourcing missions to those who are doing it full time when you have opportunity all around you. You can engage in the church. There's all sorts of opportunities.

Some people go to the old age home, the nursing home. If you've got young kids, it's a great opportunity going to the abortion clinic or again just as you go you have a track in your pocket and one of the things I would say is that in the morning when you're praying, Lord would you give me an opportunity today to talk to someone? I've been amazed that when I prayed that, the Lord answers that prayer throughout the course of the day. And I have this opportunity now to walk through this door. And it's a beautiful thing to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to those, maybe not in India or in Turkey or in some remote part of the earth, but to a neighbor across the street.

What does it mean to spread the gospel and how can we do this in our everyday lives?

Paul Carrington addresses the topic of spreading the Gospel, emphasizing the importance of having a desire to share the transformative power of the message of Christ, not out of guilt but out of a sincere belief and desire to glorify God. He cites Jesus' words in John chapter 4, encouraging his disciples to "lift up their eyes" and see the multitude of opportunities around them. We don't necessarily have to go internationally to spread the Gospel; opportunities are present all around us - with our neighbors, at work, even at the cash register while shopping.

Carrington emphasizes the need to not only preach the Gospel in our homes but also extend it to others by inviting them to our homes or engaging them with the Gospel in our day-to-day activities. He encourages us to pray for opportunities to share the Gospel and assures us that when we do, God answers our prayers. He concludes by noting that the beauty of spreading the Gospel lies not just in reaching out to remote parts of the earth but extending it to our neighbors across the street.

Matthew 28:19 (NKJV): "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."
