You know, I've yet to meet any man living that I agreed with him on everything. I have a lot of good friends. We agree on a lot, but we don't agree on everything. And so within a church, it's going to be that way. You know, we see it with the Apostle Paul and Mark and Barnabas and we see all these internal issues.

They didn't agree on everything. They didn't agree on how things should be done and when they should be done. So we need to understand as families when we are coming into a church, we need to get rid of the my way or the highway concept. That is not what the Lord has called us to do. He has called us to come and to serve that body, to be first of all looking towards the Lord to worship Him and also looking to others to serve them.

There's a little funny thing that we do in our family and and many people have heard this about the acronym of JOY. You know Jesus first another second and yourself last And I tease my children sometimes if they have the pouty face on, I said you have yodge. I said you flip joy upside down. You've put yourself first and other second and Jesus last. And you know in a church where there is the opposite of joy, there will not be, there will not be happiness.

There will be turmoil and we as families need to realize that we are participating in that.

Trent Moody explains in this video that there is bound to be disagreement with others within a church. We need to understand that when we come into a church, we need to get rid of the "My way or the highway" concept. Christ calls us to serve, to humble ourselves, and to extend unconditional love towards others.

Romans 12:16-18 (NKJV) - "Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion. Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men."
