So much of our lives we face the lamentations of Jeremiah and we see the breakdown of the family and the church and we we meet our own personal sins and the challenges of our own lives and and we need to always end those thoughts and those considerations with Lamentations chapter 3. Great is thy faithfulness and mercies are new every morning. And it is a good thing for a man to patiently wait for the salvation of the Lord. Our position is always to count on the faithfulness of God. And this, particularly as we're dealing with difficulties with our children, whether it be our adopted children, natural children, oftentimes we run into significant challenges for us.
And we must wait upon God's salvation. We must believe in the promises of God. The promises of God have handholds on them. And we continue to claim these promises. We continue to pray the promises.
We sue God for the promises. The promises still to us and to our children and we pray these promises to God and we believe is going to come through. You take that family as a special needs kid he raises out in the Gadarenes and these massive demonic forces fill this little boy and he winds up on the cliffs of the Gadarenes overlooking the Sea of Galilee and there the parents stand and they wait and they wait and they wait they wait for something to happen they wait for somebody to come and they wait upon the faithfulness of God to come through for them. And there they are in the cliffs, waiting day in and day out, week in and week out, month in and month out. Eventually they begin to see a little boat floating across the Sea of Galilee.
And in that boat is the Son of God. And he climbs up on that cliff, and he casts out the legion. And that son is now in his right mind. And he returns to the village to speak of the great things that God has done for him. That's what it is, to trust in the faithfulness of God as parents, as families.
