I know we have a society that absolutely, I mean a society that hates everything, but a society that especially hates men, above all men who act like men. And I've got two boys of my own, and I'm trying to instruct them, like, you know, this is what it means to be a man. A man is someone who uses their strength for the glory of God to protect others, to build culture. There are so many ditches to fall into with that from on the one hand just the the trying to elevate just this this idea of the macho man just everything's you know steak and lifting weights and shooting guns which all that there's a part of masculinity and all that that's true But we have a culture that really wants to make men into women, that men are really just defective women. And We have to really instruct our sons, no it's good that God made you a boy, that God made you to be a man, that God's given you a unique role in these abilities, that God's made you, you're going to be stronger than almost every woman you meet.

And that's a good thing, because God made you

What does it mean to be a man in a society that appears to despise traditional masculinity?

Robert Bosley addresses the prevailing societal views on masculinity, noting that there seems to be a disdain for men, particularly those who exhibit traditional male traits. He shares his personal journey of teaching his sons about the essence of manhood. He defines a man as one who uses his strength for God's glory, to protect others and to build culture. Bosley warns against the common pitfalls of overemphasizing certain aspects of masculinity, such as physical strength and aggression, while also acknowledging their part in the male identity.

Bosley also critiques the cultural attempt to feminize men, arguing that men are not 'defective women'. He encourages us to affirm our sons in their God-given masculinity, emphasizing that strength - both physical and moral - is a gift from God intended for good. He encourages men to embrace their unique roles and abilities, reminding them that they are designed to be protectors and builders.

1 Corinthians 16:13 (NKJV): "Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong."
