What are some truths and promises that will help redirect and guide my emotions and desires back to the Lord. That's one reason we have church is to constantly redirect people back to the Lord. I actually have a great question because I've got people that I talk to, young people I talk to all the time that says, I just don't feel like I want to read my Bible. I don't want to pray. I do, but I don't enjoy it.
I don't feel like it. I come to church and I'm not excited. Just going through the motions. What do I do? What do I do?
And they're not living in or they're not confessing any known sins. They're just worried about a lack of zeal and lack of pervency. And I think God allows us to go through those times so that we can see the need that we need the need. So it's like David's soul panted as the deer pants for the water brook, he panted after God. It's like, well, I'm not feeling that.
Well, you could at least feel that you're not, and that can be a desire to ask God for that. But I think the real answer, how to remedy that is to, the way to remedy that is to keep seeking the Lord. I'm a person that can love any type of music. Honestly. Any music.
There's certain music I hate. I literally do. But I know that if I heard it enough, I would like it. And the reason I don't like it is because I don't allow myself to hear it enough. And I'm a chameleon when it comes to music styles.
Jazz, like who likes jazz? I wouldn't ever want to listen to jazz. But I know that if I listened to it, I would like it if I just listened to it long enough. That's, you know, just put yourself in the presence of God and keep putting yourself in the presence of God and He's altogether lovely. He's altogether worthy of worship and all.
So what do you do? You just keep putting yourself in the presence of God. You become, you know, you love that which you associate with. It's just if you associate with sinners you're gonna like sin. So you just keep putting in front of you the things of God.
Not only works if you're a Christian, you can't become a Christian by association, but if you are a Christian, keep associating yourself with the things that are good and lovely and beautiful, and your affections will follow. But you
