The Conversion Story of Paul Washer's Uncle - Jim Washer
Aug. 30, 2013
Paul Washer shares the story of his uncle Jim's conversion, who was a violent and angry man before his encounter with God. Jim was on trial for murder when a postman who had been delivering his mail for years shared the gospel with him. Despite losing everything, Jim's life was transformed and he became a businessman and pastor who introduced Paul to missions. The story highlights the many ways in which God spreads the gospel and calls believers to invest in others. The upcoming conference, White Unto Harvest, will explore the different ways in which God fulfills the Great Commission.

Principles of Courtship
Oct. 1, 2011
It is not enough to believe in the inerrancy of Scripture, but we must also embrace its sufficiency. To be thoroughly Christian, we must hold the Scriptures to be the rule for our doctrine and practice in every area of faith and life. This of course, includes one of the greatest matters for every Christian – The choice of a spouse and the matter of courtship.  Having recognized this truth, we are still not beyond danger. Those who have rejected the worldly practice of recreational dating for the biblical practice of courtship must always realize that then we walk in the path of truth, there are dangerous cliffs on either side. On the one side, we do not want to fall from the path through ignorance or rejection of God’s truth. On the other side, we do not want to go beyond the truths of Scripture and build a legalistic system of bondage based upon personal inferences. Although it may surprise many, the Bible does not teach a great deal about courtship, nor does it teach with any great specificity. However the Bible does give us the Gospel, the Revelation of Christ, the Rule of love, and many great truth and wise principles to guide us along the way. They are the ingredients of biblical courtship.

Raising Children To Be Missionaries
Sep. 7, 2015
The greatest parenting goal for the Christian parent is to raise children to be missionaries for Christ. Whether this mission is around the world or in their 9-5 job down the street, Christian parents should aim to form Christ in their children so that they can take the gospel message wherever God sends them. How do Christian parents fulfill this great calling? Paul Washer explains that it is the ordinary means of grace that parents must faithfully employ in order to raise up their children as missionaries.

The Sufficiency of Scripture and the Gospel
Nov. 13, 2009
How can a sinner be reconciled to a holy God? Of all of life's questions, this is the most important. Various answers to this question have been given by the world's religions and philosophies and many people are even confused about what the Biblical answer is. The Bible teaches that humans are so sinful that we can do nothing to save ourselves and must look to Another to rescue us. That Rescuer is the Lord Jesus Christ and only he can reconcile sinners to a perfectly holy God because of his perfect life, substitutionary death, and glorious resurrection.

The Tests of Conversion
Dec. 9, 2010
False converts resulting from a superficial Gospel and an ignorance of biblical assurance is one of the most deadly maladies facing the contemporary church. Countless individuals fill our pews who profess Christ and yet have never experienced the saving power of the Gospel. How can we keep from being deceived? How can we know that we are truly converted? Fortunately, God has not left us to rely upon our own wisdom or the ever-changing opinions of men. He has given to us the Scriptures that are able to make us wise unto salvation, and upon which, we may obtain a biblical assurance of salvation.

Race to Maturity
May. 4, 2023
In today’s culture, immaturity among our youth is celebrated. Sadly, young men and women, on the whole, are maturing far later in life than in past generations. And this startling trend is no less true in the church. In this message, Paul Washer will challenge those in their teens, 20s and 30s to rethink their behavior and race to maturity—to press hard in following Christ, to be pillars in the church, and to be salt and light in the world.

True Disciples Are Truly Free and Bearing Fruit
Feb. 28, 2024
What does it mean to be a true disciple of Jesus Christ according to the Bible? As Paul Washer explains, the book of John provides three essential passages for understanding discipleship. John 8 states that true disciples are those who continue in Jesus' word, gaining freedom through a growing understanding and application of theology that aids in overcoming sin. In other words, being a disciple involves more than just studying the Word—it means allowing it to transform you and free you from the power of sin. Furthermore, John 15 emphasizes that true disciples bear fruit, which can be understood in two ways. Firstly, character—becoming more Christ-like—and secondly, through good works that glorify the Father. The third and final passage, found in John 13, defines a disciple as one who dwells within the community of faith, demonstrating love towards God's people. Thus, being a disciple of Jesus is about living according to His word, growing in sanctification, demonstrating Christ-like character, and showing love within the community of faith. John 8:31-32 (NKJV): 'Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."'

Glorifying and Enjoying God in Your Strength
May. 5, 2023
A tidal wave of darkness threatens believers around the globe. So how will the coming generation be strong enough to face this great challenge? It can only come through a right knowledge of God, a theme Paul Washer will address in this message geared toward young people. And this knowledge, he’ll explain, is revealed in the person and work of Christ, found in Scripture—a knowledge that gives strength to face hard times as we glorify Him.

Training Fathers to Teach their Children
Feb. 14, 2024
How much time is the church investing in teaching fathers to disciple their own children? God has designated men, particularly fathers, to be teachers to their own children. Yet, there seems to be a gap in the training provided to these men for this critical task within the church. Paul Washer points out that just as men called into ministry are taught how to teach, fathers, who have also been called to teach, need to be trained in the same way. They need to be taught how to catechize, exemplify Christian living, and establish a Christian home. There are many sincere men who are eager to fulfill their role as teachers to their children but are hindered by a lack of knowledge. The solution, Washer argues, begins with teaching. The church needs to invest more time in equipping fathers to carry out this divine mandate effectively, in order to prevent the destruction that comes from a lack of knowledge. Hosea 4:6 (NKJV): "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children."

The Holiness of God - Christ in Glory
Oct. 29, 2015
The greatest motivation for personal holiness is to get a glimpse of the great holiness of our God. When we contemplate the beauty and majesty of Jesus Christ in his glory we will be changed. If we see Christ exalted we will be like Isaiah when he saw the enthroned Son of God and immediately humbled and recognize the severity of our sin and at the same time be drawn to his holiness. As we meditate on his perfect holiness and his exalted glory we will love him more and desire to become like him reflecting his holiness.
