Someone Who Really Knew God
Apr. 8, 2022
Caleb followed the Lord fully his whole life because God put “a different spirit in him" (Numbers 14:24). He feared God with a child-like fear. He loved the Lord and hated sin. You read that the knowledge of God was so strong in Caleb’s heart that, even when Israel became angry with him about entering the promised land, he would not back down. He had knowledge of God and His will and wanted to do it. The fruit of knowing God savingly is that you want to do His will. Caleb was willing to die because He knew God.

The Dominion Mandate
Mar. 14, 2022
In Genesis 1, God creates male and female in His image and commands them to be fruitful and multiple. They are told to fill the earth and take dominion. In Genesis 2, Adam is told to work the garden and we see that it is not good for him to be alone. He needs a helper suitable to him so that they can care for the garden that God has planted. They are to spread the image of God through the whole earth which is quite difficult because of their fall. In Genesis 3, that curse addresses man and the work he is given to do. It also addresses woman and the work she is given to do.

The Responsibilities of a Father
Jan. 21, 2021
What responsibilities does a father have? Tom Ford explains in this video that our young men need to be prepared to be heads of households. They will one day be providers of the home as well. They shouldn't be lazy and let their wife to take over that duty. Finally, they also need to be protectors of the family in not only a physical but also a spiritual sense.

Winning the Heart of Your Child
Dec. 7, 2020
Rob Tart explains in this video that one of the most important things that a parent should work towards is to win the heart of their child. If they do not have the heart of their child, it is very difficult to maintain a harmonious relationship with a child and to pursue shared goals together. To win the heart of a child, parents need to listen, care for their children, and affirm them when applicable. Proverbs 17:22 (NKJV) - "A merry heart does good, like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones."

Family Worship Doesn't Need to be Complicated
Nov. 11, 2019
What is something important to remember if a father is apprehensive about leading family worship? Family worship is one of the fundamental things that a man should establish in his home. It is foundational. It helps families to be constantly studying, meditating upon, and living according to Scripture. If it is just a man and his wife, leading family worship should not be too difficult. Just read a chapter of Scripture and ask each other how you can pray for them. Then, both pray together. The most important thing is to read the Word of God and to pray together. James 5:16 (NKJV) - "Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much."

Manhood and Womanhood
Oct. 2, 2019
When it comes to the biblical view of the nature and roles of men and women, there are two basic camps: egalitarians and complementarians. Both positions teach that man and woman are created equal in worth and dignity as creatures made in the image of God. However, egalitarians take that principle and conclude that therefore there is no distinction in role or hierarchy between the sexes in society, family, or the church. Complementarians, however, see that scripture lays out distinct roles for the sexes from creation and those roles are good and wise God-given gifts to help his creatures flourish.

Men of Honor
Oct. 2, 2019
God's people are called to holiness in all areas of life, and today we must constantly be reminded that men of God are called to a high level of moral purity in their sexuality. Among God's people, the goal is to have not even a hint of sexual impropriety. Sadly, this standard is rarely lived up to because the culture around us is inundated with sexual immorality and the tidal wave is pushing against Christians every day. Christian men need to turn to Christ and focus on him and rely on his grace for the strength to fight for moral purity every day.

Don't Waste Your Youth
Aug. 19, 2019
In this message, Scott Brown provides four things that fathers can do to help their sons not waste the days of their youth. Each son will face many battles as he grows older -- is he prepared to face those challenges? God placed fathers in a unique position to instruct and be able to walk alongside their sons. Fathers ought to embrace this responsibility and opportunity to impart to their sons godly wisdom and teaching.

Choose the Right Weapons For the Battle Against Impurity
Aug. 19, 2019
Just as the soldier must be properly equipped with the right weapons to face his enemy, Christians must be equipped with the right spiritual weapons to overcome our 3-fold enemy of the world, the flesh, and the Devil. Christian men must especially be prepared and equipped to fight against those sins of sexual impurity to which they are especially susceptible. Fathers also must not only use these weapons in their own fight against lust, but must train their sons to fight this battle as well.

Lead Courageously and Build Long and Loyal Friendships
Aug. 19, 2019
There are many things that boys need in their life in order to become a Godly man. One important thing he needs is to have a courageous and decisive leader over him. His father needs to teach him the right way to become a Godly man. Another thing is for him to choose wisely the friends he has. Instead of his friends leading him astray, he needs to lead them on the right path. The conquest of Mount suribachi is a great story of being courageous and having decisive leadership.
