In this audio marriage, Paul Carrington discusses the topic of forgiveness in marriage. He uses the chapter of Matthew 18 to illustrate what Christ says about forgiveness. Forgiveness is not something that should be withheld or conditional. Forgiveness in marriage is such an important thing for both spouses to embrace for without forgiveness, bitterness and anger can result. Forgiveness brings spouses back together and points both to Christ. Ephesians 4:32 (NKJV) - "And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you."

Phil George explains in this video that it is important for a marriage to cultivate encouragement. It can be helpful for both spouses to encourage and demonstrate appreciate each other. It is also helpful to be servants of each other. Oftentimes, it can be easy to become complacent in marriage and take each other for granted which is why it is important to keep this idea in mind. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 (NKJV) - "Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing."

As our culture has embraced the culture of death, how should Christians respond? With such a tragic reality, is it enough to simply pray, or is there more Christians ought to be doing? What is the role of the Church in responding to the killing of babies in abortion mills?

How can conflict between spouses be resolved? Carlton McLeod explains in this video that he has had several opportunities to talk with and provide counsel to young couples. Initially, he would always start his conversations with the issues that they're struggling with. Now, he has learned to tell the couples to evaluate their relationship before the Lord before discussing specific issues. This helps to have both husband and wife in the right state of mind. Are both spouses praying for each other? Sometimes, there is a key sin underlying many of these issues. Once we get the couple in a right place before God, then we can simply point them to what God says in His Word. Matthew 6:33 (NKJV) - "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you."

God's people are often a people who suffer and endure many trials and tribulations. Of course our first response is to try and get out of the trial and escape the pain of suffering. However, God often intends these trials and sufferings as a means of building up his people and causing them to trust him wholly instead of relying on their own strength. God enables his people to go through the fire of trials so that they may be a purified and holy people, to the glory of God.

In this audio message, Mala Chindongo discusses what our priorities are in our life. If it was your birthday, what would be your wish? He explains that as a pastor, it can be easy to get caught up in how big your congregation is and lose sight of the Gospel. He encourages his fellow pastors to keep Scripture central. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NKJV) - "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work."

The speaker discusses the importance of not missing opportunities to honor the World War II generation before it's too late. He highlights the urgency of this task as the number of veterans from that war dwindles rapidly. The speaker encourages sons to ask their fathers about their stories before it's too late and urges fathers to share their experiences and the ways in which God has blessed them with their children.

Bill Brown explains in this audio message that every son needs to hear his father encourage him to take on various challenges. Life will not be easy and pleasurable for our sons. We need to help them to be strong men, who are prepared and are not afraid to work hard when life becomes difficult. Proverbs 16:3 (NKJV) - Commit your works to the Lord, and your thoughts will be established."

While living in a foxhole, there was little sleep and little protection from the threat of bullets, bombs, and even jungle bugs. We all face different trials in life. One lesson that we can learn is that our earthly home is only temporary and that we ought to focus on what is eternal. Hebrews 13:5 (NKJV) - "Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, 'Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.'”

Those who you spend time with can be a blessing in that friends can sharpen and build up each other or friends can lead to compromise and engaging in sin. John 15:13 (NKJV) - "Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends."

In this chapter, William Brown speaks of the importance of fathers sacrificing themselves for their children, the next generation. Specifically, men must rise up with a holy vision and set aside their preferences, entertainment, and selfish patterns. Fathers must seek the preservation and prosperity of their families by teaching them the ways of the Lord and give up worldly pleasures.
